AAP & CONGRESS DERAILING STATE’S DEVELOPMENT: PARKASH SINGH BADAL

Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal slammed the Aam Aadmi Party and the Congress for conniving with each other to derail the development process in Punjab.

“Both these political parties are the sworn enemies of the state,” he said asking the people of Punjab to vigilant of their nefarious designs to ruin the State. They are planning to disturb the hard earned peace in the state for their vested political interests, emphasized Badal.  “The people should not hand over their destiny to those people who have been inimical to the interests of state as Punjab has already suffered a lot due to such experiences in the past,” he said.

Congress has deprived the state of its capital, legitimate share in the river waters, Punjabi speaking areas besides destroying the economy of the State. Badal said that even the plan to rob the waters of state by constructing SYL canal was formed and executed by the Congress adding that the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi had performed the ground breaking ceremony of this canal.

On the question of intent of newest party in Punjab, he said that unfortunately, the newly-formed AAP was also following the Congress’ legacy to damage the state.

Later, interacting with the media persons, the Chief Minister said that the process of recruitment for filling posts in various departments has already been initiated and would be completed soon. Also, “The state government has started a new scheme to give interest free crop loan to farmers worth Rs 50,000. Besides, free treatment is being provided for fatal diseases like Cancer and Hepatitis C,” he added.
