Advantages of Symbian over iOS

May 11, 2011 2 Comments by

Friends iOS is getting extremely popular but Symbian still has some advantages over it

  1. Symbian phones can become a wifi hotspot, where as iOS phones can’t.
  2. Symbian display more info on a locked screen then iOS phones.
  3. Bluetooth which is  commonly used for file sharing is not available on iOS it is there for head set only
  4. The biggest is no FM radio support on iOS as yet which really is shocking for the money they are charging
  5. How would you feel that your data is being used without any pop up or notification yes this is true iOS has this unique capability also which symbian doesn’t support.
  6. The symbian is the toughest touch screen navigation complex and not friendly when u use it first well blessing in disguise if u think of it…. not easy for your friends with iOS phones to sneak out your personal “whatever” from your phone if  left unattended for few secs

This isn’t true. iOS systems with iOS4 can do this.

    2. Symbian display more info on a locked screen then iOS phones.
While this may be true, more info disclosure is hardly an “advantage”

    2. Bluetooth which is commonly used for file sharing is not available on iOS it is there for head set only
Bluetooth actually more frequently used for headsets, but you can also share photos with it.

    3. The biggest is no FM radio support on iOS as yet which really is shocking for the money they are charging
There are plenty of internet radio stations to listen to, with a higher variety than that of my local radio stations.

    4. How would you feel that your data is being used without any pop up or notification yes this is true iOS has this unique capability also which symbian doesn’t support.
All “smartphones” have this capability, it’s if you use it or not that’s the difference. You CAN disable this feature.

    5. The symbian is the toughest touch screen navigation complex and not friendly when u use it first well blessing in disguise if u think of it…. not easy for your friends with iOS phones to sneak out your personal “whatever” from your phone if left unattended for few secs
It’s hard to use??? and you’re calling this an “advantage” also, if you’re hiding some personal “whatever” there are encrypted programs that allow you to lock videos, pictures or other things that you might not want to be shared with the public.
